Joseph Franks exhibition

Recordando mi visita a la exhibicion del arquitecto y diseñador textil austriaco Joseph Franks en el Museo de la Moda y Textiles en Londres. Nadie diria que los tejidos aparecieron en los años 30 y 40, se ven tan actuales con tanto colorido. Descubri sus tulipanes  hace años en Liberty's y son fan desde entonces.

 Remembering the Joseph Franks exhibition at the Fashion and Textiles Museum in London. The designs feel timeless, an injection of optimism with such a riot of color. I came across his work years ago at Liberty's and became a fan, buying some tulip place mats which I regret gifting as I cannot buy them nowadays.

Como una peonza - Like an spining top

Es como me senti despues de probar "Spun" uno de los diseños de Heatherwick Studio creadores de la caldera Olympica que muestran algunas de sus obras en el museo Victoria & Albert estos dias. Es una silla que se inclina y rota sobre su eje, haciendo uso del peso de los usuarios.

Is how I felt after trying out "Spun" one of the designs of Heatherwick Studio the designers of the Olympic cauldron. They are showing their work at the Victoria & Albert museum these days. A chair that is designed to tilt steadily on its side and rotate using the user's weight.

El Atelier-Musee du Chapeau , creado en 1983 en Chazelles-sur-Lyon para preservar la memoria de varios siglos dedicados a la produccion de sombreros de fieltro. En su cenit el area alcanzo a emplear a 2.500 trabajadores distribuidos en 28 fabricas.

Hat eye candy from my latest web discovery the website of a french hat museum. The Atelier-Museum du Chapeau celebrates the felt hat making tradition of Chazelles-sur-Lyon which dates back to the sixteenth century.
