La cafeteria mas artistica - A very artistic cafeteria

Hace unas semanas volvi a una de mis cafeterias favoritas, la del museo Victoria & Albert. Sus tres salas, fueron el primer restaurante de museo en el mundo. La sala verde fue diseñada por William Morris con cuadros y vidrieras de Edward Burne-Jones. Mi favorita es la sala Gamble toda cubierta por azulejos amarillos y blancos en relieve en las paredes y esmaltes en el techo. Con sus frases alegoricas a la comida , la mejor "El hambre es la mejor salsa". La sala Poynter, azul y blanca tiene un horno con motivos japoneses que me encanta y sus azulejos azules con las estaciones me recuerdan los de Holanda.

The refreshment rooms at the Victoria & Albert Museum, made out of three rooms which were the first museum restaurant in the world. Each one designed by a different artist, William Morris and Edward Burne-Jones in the green Morris rooms. My favorite is the central room with its yellow tiling and the cherubs around the sentences that run along the walls such as "Hunger is the best sauce."

Luciernaga a macrame - Macrame Dragonfly

Me gustan los insectos en las labores, de cualquier forma bordados o a ganchillo. Pero no he echo ninguno a macrame, claro que eso lo va a solucionar este video.

I enjoy crafting insects, I like them embroidered and crochetted , and would like to craft a new one . This macrame dragonfly tutorial might help with that.

Estudio en escarlata - Study in scarlet

Ayer paseito por Kensington Gardens a ver el pabellon anual de la galleria Serpentine. Esta vez es de lo mas dramatico y llamativo, en rojo vivo. Me encanta como destaca entre el verdor del parque y los tonos rojos en las caras de la gente cuando estas en la cafeteria que tienen instalada dentro.

We went to Kensington Gardens to see the Serpentine's Gallery pavillion. I love it, the vibrant red colour that gives such a funny color to people's faces when sitting on the cafeteria inside the building. It is such a dramatic structure with all the angles and the way the red stands out among the trees nearby.

Ganchillo para bicicletas - Bicycle crochet

Otra forma de darle uso a los motivos a ganchillo. Una funda para el sillin de la bici, de lo mas colorida. La que encontre en la pagina finesa Yhteishyva. El patron aqui, en finlandes pero facil de seguir gracias a los graficos. Foto cortesia de yhteishyva.
